Franklin, Tenn - 8 May 2014 - Show Hope™ is gearing up for their 2nd Annual FamilyFest, a free event for the whole family, on Saturday, May 31 at Christ Presbyterian Church in Brentwood, TN. Food trucks will be on site, along with inflatables, a photo booth, face painting, games and prizes, and live music from the Show Hope Blue Grass Band. Child favorites such as Miss Pattycake, Roger Day, as well as Bob and Larry from VeggieTales will all be making special appearances throughout the day.
The Red Bus Project's double-decker thrift store bus will also be on hand, ready for shopping as well as a drop-off for donated gently-used accessories. The Red Bus Project is asking primarily for donations of belts, scarves, hats, and purses.
This year's FamilyFest will celebrate the life of Maria Sue Chapman, Mary Beth and Steven Curtis Chapman's daughter who passed away in 2008. Her legacy continues and lives are being forever changed through Show Hope's Maria's Miracle Fund as well as the flagship Special Care Center, Maria's Big House of Hope, which was named in her honor.
Show Hope's 2014 FamilyFest will be held from 11am - 3pm on the front lawn of Christ Presbyterian Church, located at 2323 Old Hickory Blvd. in Brentwood, TN. SHOW HOPE RECOGNIZED AT GMA HONORS Show Hope was recently honored by the Gospel Music Association during their inaugural GMA Honors event. Held last week in Nashville at Lipscomb University's Allen Arena, Show Hope was recognized by the GMA in front of their peers and those in the Christian and Gospel music community for its outstanding cultural impact through its mission of encouragement, hope and Christian values. Both Mary Beth and Steven Curtis Chapman were on hand to accept the award, which was preceeded by a touching video sharing the story behind Show Hope.
